My name is baby shade a lot of y'all know me a lot of y'all don't but if y'all knew me y'all would know that I'm not a person that turn his head when somebody needs help and not a bad person I have did some wrong things in life and I was punished for what I've done and that was 10 years of my life in prison for the choices I made and I understand that it was wrong so I held my head up and took it like I was taught like a man now 6 years later I found myself back behind these walls for 10 years of my life for probation violation not with a new crime just failure to report my first violation which they say was a violation and send me back to prison for 10 years when we suppose to have a system to help people from coming back to prison but the system only made it easier for you to be a repeated offender and not to rehabilitation not only that I sit in here every day with guys who took a life of somebody family or love ones and get 5 to 10 and will make his exit out these doors before me because of what my charge was which is robbery and I have already did 10 years day for day in Mississippi know they won't me to serve another 10 years just for a failure to report with no new crime at all. And I was taken away from my family and my son who just turned 3 in August where is the remorse at govener releasing murders, rappest. Keep our family blind to what's going on by only saying some of what's going on in MDOC prison system. The system is over crowded with violation offenders probation and parole. They say they changed a law to help violent offenders who is serving a mandatory sentence which mean day for day but it only help some because it only go back to 2007 anybody who was sentenced before 2007 is not eligible for anything out that law that was passed 2019 house bill 585 or 1352 we all deserve to fall under the same law and not separated. How is it that we have that same conviction of robbery but sentence in a different year you eligible and he/she are not this is what we facing in the prison system and this is how some of these guys live cause you left them no hope of see freedom with all of those years to face better yet to talk about serving animals get to live in a shelter and be loved and care for better security and safety but put us in a cage and tell us to survive off this or the best way you can put people's to watch over us that doesn't care about Nothing but a dollar and not our lives I can speak first hand on this cause I live this life for now but my GOD hears our cry's thanks to everyone who out there pushing to help and better this system we traped in (share this post)
