Sara Jane- Founder / President / CEO
Sara Jane has her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Counseling from SUNY Empire and Master’s degree from Liberty University. Sara Jane is a Dual Diagnosis Therapist working with those affected by Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders. As the Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist, in a 13 County Region in Southern Mississippi, she provides education and awareness to the community regarding mental illness and substance use. Sara Jane is currently working on becoming an Ordained Minister and obtaining her PhD in Pastoral Counseling. She has worked in several capacities including; Inpatient Psychiatric and Substance Use Recovery environments, EMT and Firefighter in a State Prison community, Outpatient Addiction and Community Child/Adolescent Mental Health Therapist. Her work has led to assisting individuals in all avenues of their criminal justice/corrections journey. Sara Jane has been advocating for Criminal Justice Reform for over 20 years. As a person in recovery and aware of incarceration from her own personal path, she knows the struggle and brings forth a heart of empathy and compassion in all that she does.
